Hurling and Football Championships

On Saturday the 28th of August our Senior and Intermediate Footballers both tasted victory in a double header in Leahy Park Cashel. In the first game our Intermediates had a tough game against Clonoulty Roseemore but a strong final 10 minutes saw us run out 3-13 to 2-9 winners. We finished runner up in the group and will now go forward to the quarter finals against Mullinahone on Sunday the 18th of September in Littleton at 12:30pm.

Our Seniors kept their winning run going with a 3-15 to 2-9victory over Aherlow. We now go into the quarter finals as group winners with three wins from three. We will face Kilsheelan Kilcash in Leahy Park Cashel on Saturday the 17th of September at 5pm.

On Sunday our senior hurlers were victorious against Éire Óg Annacarty in the final group game in this years Senior Hurling Championship. A tough and close game saw us ultimately victorious with a four point lead but we were pushed all the way by a determined Annacarty side. We have been fortuitous this year to avoid a Preliminary 1/4 final and go directly to the quarter finals which will be played the weekend of 24/25th September. Our opponents will not be known until after the preliminary 1/4 finals this week. As we finished 2nd in our group we will face one of the top seeded sides. We cannot be drawn against Kiladangan as repeat pairings have to be avoided so we will face one of Drom, Upperchurch, or Kilruane.
