Inter-county Action

On Sunday at 4pm in FBD Semple Stadium Tipperary took on Cork in the final Munster Round Robin game. A game that started with great promise as Tipperary jumped to an early lead eventually began to slip away from them as the Rebels took hold of the game and ran out winners. This ends the Tipp senior’s involvement in this year’s championship.

On Sunday the 29th the Tipperary senior footballers will travel to Carlow for their first ever game in the Tailteann Cup. Willie Eviston and Sean O’Connell are named to start with Liam McGrath, Tommy Maher, and Conor Ryan on the bench. The game throws in at 2pm.

Last Saturday in the Ragg Tipperary began their All-Ireland Camogie Championship journey as they welcomed Clare for the 3rd meeting of the two sides in 4 weeks. Another tight game between the two sides saw the spoils shared. Aoife McGrath started at centre back for Tipp while Niamh Treacy, Mairead Eviston, and Eimear McGrath start the game from the bench. Mairead came on as an early substitute for her first game in several months. Both Eimear and Niamh also saw action. This week they travel to Parnell Park on Saturday to take on Dublin. Both Aoife and Mairead are named at 6 and 7 respectively with Niamh and Eimear on the bench.
