Weekly Notes 13th June 2022
13 Jun 20222022 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Launch
On Thursday the 9th of June the clubhouse in Cuguilla played host to representatives from Croke Park, participating counties, and the national media for the launch of the All-Ireland hurling series. Loughmore Castleiney GAA club was selected in recognition of our unique achievements on the field last year and it was a tremendous honour to play host on the day.
Also on the day students from both Loughmore NS and Castleiney NS played an exhibition match and got to meet GAA President Larry McCarthy and the players. Photos were taken at Loughmore Castle by Sportsfile and Damian Lawlor hosted a discussion with the players before they took part in their one on one media duties.

A gallery of photos from the event can be found here.

The club expresses its sincere gratitude to all those involved in organising the event as well as those who helped clean up and improve the facilities at the club grounds. I think everyone would agree that place has never looked so well.

On Saturday the 11th of June our footballers played Boherlahan in Cuguilla in the Mid Tipperary Jim & Anne Kennedy Junior B Football Championship. We lost out on a scoreline of 1-05 to 4-13.
