Return To Play – Important Information
23 Jun 2020
Whilst we are all looking forward to returning to Cuguilla there are some important regulations to take into account for a safe return to play:
The GAA have launched the COVID-19 education E-Learning module to inform members how to return safely to play. This module must be completed by ALL players (or Parents/Guardians of players), coaches, mentors or anyone involved with GAA activity. It takes 20 minutes to complete and you receive a digital certificate of completion at the end. Ensure you take a screenshot of the certificate as it MUST be presented to COVID-19 Supervisor before first training session.
You can access the e-learning module here
The GAA have also developed an online Health Questionnaire which MUST be completed before returning to play. Once you have completed the questionnaire you will need to access it each time before attending a training session or match to confirm that your health circumstances have not changed.
The Health Questionnaire is available on a mobile responsive webpage at the URL https://returntoplay.gaa.ie
* It may be worth bookmarking this on your browser or adding a shortcut to it on your desktop.
GAA Guidelines can be accessed at https://learning.gaa.ie/covid19 . There are many resources and information available at this link and are updated as rapidly as situations, dates etc are changed.
GAA Parent/Guardian Guidelines for Underage Return to Play can be read here
COVID-19 Supervisors will be appointed for each team and ALL players and coaches must check in with the supervisor on arrival at training grounds for every session. The supervisors will check that the E-Learning module has been completed and that the Health Questionnaire has been updated. Should the health questionnaire not be up-to-date the player will not be permitted to attend the session.
Other regulations for the safety of players and coaches:
There will be no sharing of water bottles – Everyone should label their own
No sharing of hurleys, helmets or mouth guards
Dressing rooms will not be accessible until further notice therefore players should come togged out for training/matches
Hand sanitiser should be used on arrival and departure from grounds
Please adhere to social distancing guidelines
