Loughmore/Castleiney GAA Juvenile Club Notes 24th July 2019

As we approach the closing stages of the various underage hurling championship matches we have a few important fixtures over the coming days. Unfortunately our U12 Group 2 team bowed out of the championship last weekend losing out to a much stronger Moyne/Templetuohy side. Our team will now focus on the Shield competition which will start in a few weeks.

There was plenty of support in Semple Stadium last night for the U20 Munster Final clash against Cork. What a match, excitement throughout and in the dying seconds a goal allowed Tipperary to raise the Cup. Congratulations to our own Club player Ciaran Connolly (pictured below with very happy family members!).

Fixtures:
U14B2 Semi Final Thursday 25 July vs Upperchurch-Drombane at 7.30pm in Templemore

U16A Friday 26th July vs Upperchurch-Drombane at 6.30pm in Castleiney

U12 Gp5 Semi Final Saturday 27th July vs Moyne/Templetuohy at 10.30am in Templetuohy

On the non competitive front U6/8/10s all continue to have their training sessions, our U8s took part in a blitz organised by Tipp Coaching & Games.

Best of luck to Noel, John & Brian McGrath in the All Ireland Hurling Championship on Sunday!
