Loughmore Castleiney GAA Club News 22 October

Senior Football:  Our senior footballers had a most disappointing exit from the County championship on Sunday week last as they were pipped 0-08 to 0-09 by Ardfinnan.
Played in excellent conditions in Holycross , our injury list had not improved from the hurling scene with John McGrath and Liam Treacy failing a late fitness test and had to withdraw.  However we certainly had chances to gain victory where a total of eleven wides played a large part in defeat.  We wish every success to Ardfinnan in the final on Sunday.
Mid Hurling Final Replay:  On this Saturday at 4pm in Templetuohy we face Thurles Sarsfields in the Mid final replay.  Having lost out on victory in the drawn game we must rise to the occasion again and gain victory.
U/16B Football Final:  We say hard luck to our U/16 B footballers who lost out narrowly to a strong Anner Gael team in the County final.
