Jack Fitzpatrick Memorial Cup: On
Friday last at Loughmore N.S. grounds a most entertaining league for
the above cup took place. Divided into four teams of boys and girls two
well contested games took place. Following the final the cup was
presented to the winning captain Richard Morris by Mary Maher with Oran
Breen picking up the most improved overall trophy.
Jimmy Sweeney was
an excellent referee on the day. It was very evident from the
performances that teacher John Meagher and his helpers are putting in
mighty work in the school with some excellent players for the future on
board. Well done to all.
