LOUGHMORE/CASTLEINEY G.A.A. CLUB Weekly Notes 26 August 2019

Senior Football:  On Sunday evening last at Cashel Sportsfield our senior footballers were unable to emerge group winners as they were held to a draw 1-08 to 2-05 by a determined Cahir outfit and must now at least get a point from final group game v Aherlow.
Having played against a strong breeze in the first half we seemed in a good position at the break being level at 1-04 each.   However we just added four points in the second period and had to fight back to share the spoils.

Intermediate Football:  Our footballers will have played their group game v Golden in Clonoulty this Tuesday night.

Senior Hurling:  On Sunday next at 1pm in The Ragg we face Nenagh in a must win group game having a first round draw with Burgess.  While preparations were somewhat restricted regarding full collective training due to our County team’s success nonetheless a huge effort has been put in overall and let’s hope it will pay dividends on Sunday.

Congratulations:  Following the County senior hurlers success in the All Ireland it was the turn of the U/20 hurlers on Saturday evening in Limerick and we congratulate Ciaran Connolly on bringing a fourth All Ireland medal to the club and parish within a week.
