Late Madeline Keane: On Saturday last we learned of the passing of Madeline Keane, Ballinroe, Castleiney in her 96th year. Along with her late husband Bertie, they provided a training ground for the club opposite where son Tony now provides a fine horse transport operation. The club won many honours from this particular grounds including 1970 U/21 football Mid and County and 1973 senior football Mid and County titles along with reaching the Munster club final.
