LOUGHMORE/CASTLEINEY G.A.A. CLUB Weekly Notes 21st July 2019

Cahill Cup Final: On Wednesday evening last in Holycross our senior hurlers retained the Mid division Cahill Cup following a 2-21 to 3-14 victory over Moycarkey in a closely fought encounter.
Our first half performance was certainly not up to standard as we laboured in many aspects yet held a two point advantage at the break 1-10 to 1-08.
A much improved overall display in the second period was sufficient for Captain Joey Hennessy to accept the cup from Mid Chairman Jonathan Cullen.

Intermediate Football: In the Mid championship on Friday evening in Castleiney our team lost out to J K Brackens 1-11 to 2-11. With a defeat already in the County championship it puts us under pressure for the remainder of the games.

Munster Final U20: We hope Ciaran and the Tipperary team will have success in the U/20 Munster final.

Best Wishes: Our best wishes to Noel, John and Brian on Sunday next in the All Ireland semi final.

Senior Hurling Challenge: On Sunday next it is expected we will have a game v Cuala in Dublin. Arrangements will be in place for same.
