LOUGHMORE/CASTLEINEY G.A.A. CLUB Weekly Notes 19 August 2019
02 Sep 2019
Junior A Hurling: On Friday evening last in Templemore our junior A hurlers reached the Mid final with a 2-11 to 1-10 victory over a much fancied Holycross team.
Overall this was a promising display from the lads as they held a grip on the game all through, having led 0-07 to 0-05 at half time.
They now await the winners of Thurles Sarsfields and J K Brackens who play the other semi final.
Fixtures: On Sunday evening next in Casthel at 6pm our senior footballers face Cahir in Round 2 of the County championship group game. All panel to attend on time.
Tuesday 27th August intermediated football v Golden at 6.45 in Clonoulty.
Sunday September 1st at 1pm in The Ragg senior hurling round 2 game v Nenagh Eire Og.
What a day in Croke Park on Sunday last as the McGrath brothers Noel, John and Brian collected All Ireland medals with a great victory over Kilkenny and on Sunday night Noel was chosen as RTE Man of the Match by virtue of an outstanding performance and a great day for our club overall. We say well done to the lads and the entire team and management on a great victory.
We wish Ciaran Connolly the very best of luck with the U/20 Tipperary team in the All Ireland final in Limerick on Saturday next.
Best wishes: On behalf of the club we wish Conor Stapleton a speedy recovery who is presently hospatilised.
