LOUGHMORE/CASTLEINEY G.A.A. CLUB Weekly Notes 12 August 2019

In preparation for the forthcoming championship our junior and senior hurling teams had good challenge games v St. Pat’s and Dicksboro respectively.  Our thanks to both clubs for same.

Mid Junior Hurling Championship (A):  On this Friday evening at 7pm in Templemore we play Holycross in the Mid semi final.  This is a big game for the team with Holycross always big contenders in this championship.  All panel to attend on appointed time.

Congratulations to Ciaran Connolly who played with the Tipperary u/21 hurlers and reaching the All Ireland final v Cork.

Best Wishes:  On Sunday next all roads lead to Croke Park for the All Ireland senior hurling final v Kilkenny.  With the club and parish having the McGrath brothers Noel, John and Brian involved we wish them and the team the very best of luck and hope victory will be the lot on the day.
We urge houses of the parishes to display the County colours of flags bunting etc.

Sympathy:  The parish was saddened on Friday 2nd August by the sudden passing of Richard Morris, Clogheraily Beg, Loughmore.  Richard played with the club in his juvenile days and was a big supporter of the club.  To his wife Breda, his children Katie, Richard and Tristian, his sisters and brothers and extended family our deepest sympathy.
Also to the Kiely family, Kill Killhara on the passing of John during the week RIP.
