Loughmore Castleiney Club Notes 10th November 2021

For the second year in succession the club has reached both County senior finals.
On Saturday last at Golden our senior footballers did what the hurlers did the previous week by coming from behind to beat Moyle Rovers by the minimum 1-08 to 1-07.
Played in windy and wet conditions it was a tight affair from start to finish and a Lorcan Egan fisted point at the death deciding the issue and a place in the County final.

County Hurling Final: All roads lead to Semple Stadium on Sunday next as our senior hurlers face Thurles Sarsfields with a 3-15 starting time. This will be our eight County final appearance and following the huge disappointment of last year let’s hope we can make amends with a victory. The support of the parish is requested on Sunday. Best of luck to all.

Training Fund: With the reaching of the two finals a training fund is now opened. Any subscription to this fund would be greatly appreciated. This can be done through the club Bank Account or any club officer. My sincere apologies for inserting an incorrect digit in last weeks account number which is IE80 BOFI 9044 5629 1729 81. See advertisement.

Sympathy: On behalf of the clubs we offer our sympathy to Margaret Quinn and the extended Lanigan family on the passing of her mother over the weekend. May she Rest in Peace.
