Club Notes 7th November 2022
09 Nov 2022There was disappointment for both our Intermediate and Senior footballers this weekend.
On Friday evening our intermediates travelled to Templetouhy for the mid final. While we had our chances and could have snatched a draw with the last play of the game we ultimately lost out on a score of 1-8 to 11 points. Hard luck to players and management and congratulations to Moyne Templetouhy.

Sunday saw our Seniors line out in the mid senior football final in Templemore. A slow start saw us trail 5 points to 1 at the interval. An improvement in the second half saw us back into the game but we ended up on the losing side with a score of 9 points to 8. Congratulations to JK Brackens and commiserations to our players and management.

The Junior C Charity game between ourselves and Toomevara was called off late last week. The game which was due to be played in Toome will now be rescheduled for a later date.
Congratulations to Drom & Inch Camogie on qualifying for their 4th Munster final in a row. Winners of the 2020 tournament they will be hoping to go one better against Sacrrif Ogonole of Clare who beat them in last season’s decider. There’s a strong Loughmore Castleiney contingent on the team captained by our own Mairead Eviston. The final is on Sunday the 13th in Mallow at 2pm and it would be great to see a crowd travel to support the team.
