Golf Classic
Our annual Golf Classic is taking place on Friday 15th May in Thurles Golf Club. For tee time bookings please contact John O’Connell on 086 275 4270. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for anyone who does not play golf. We will be encouraging all members to support what is such an essential fundraiser to the running of the club.

Junior A Hurling
Hard luck to our Junior A hurlers who were defeated by Thurles Sarsfields in the Mid Junior Junior Hurling League Div 1. Goals from Anthony Ryan, Richie Morris and Darragh McCahey and a very good overall team performance, we ended up losing by three points on a score line of 1-29 to 3-20.

Ladies Football
Hard luck to our Junior ladies footballers who lost out to Rockwell Rovers on Monday night in Cugilla.

U8 Blitz
Loughmore Castleiney U8’s were invited by Tullaroan to join their festival of hurling tournament this May bank holiday weekend. We had the privilege of being the only club outside Kilkenny to be present.
We had a great day of hurling with two teams involved. We had great showings against some formidable Kilkenny clubs including the famous Ballyhale Shamrocks, Windgap, Barrow Rangers, Dansfort, Mullinavat, Dicksboro,  Mooncoin, Bennetsbridge and Fenians/Galmoy.
One of the all time greats, Tommy Walsh, presented both Loughmore Castleiney teams with their medals. The children had a great day and we would like to thank Tullaroan GAA Club for the invite. We wish them well in their continued fundraising efforts for a new astro pitch.
