The Junior team had a great win against Latin Cullen Emily last Friday evening in the league. A great performance by the panel. Their final league match is on this Wednesday 31st at 7pm in Cuguilla against Thurles Sarsfields. All support would be greatly appreciated.
The club hosted a blitz for the Mothers and Others last Friday evening in Cuguilla. Teams that participated were Loughmore, Boherlahan, Moycarkey, Ardfinnan and Thurles. A great evening of football was had by all.
Intercounty Action
The Tipperary senior hurlers missed out on a Munster Final appearance after a 6 point defeat to Waterford in Semple Stadium on Sunday. Having lost their previous three games in this year’s Munster Round Robin the result was perhaps a bit of a shock for a Tipp team high on confidence after an unbeaten start to the Championship.
Noel and Brian started the game with John making an appearance from the bench in the second half. All three brothers found their way onto the scoresheet. The pick of the scores probably being the first half pass which found Brian under the Old Stand who then split the posts.
A Limerick win against Cork saw the premier progress to a Preliminary quarter final against Offaly on the 17th of June in Tullamore. Victory there would see a Quarter Final berth against the runners up of Leinster (either Kilkenny or Galway).
Next up for Willie, Liam, and Tommy with the Tipp Footballers is a trip to Páirc Ui Chaoimh to face Waterford on Saturday 3rd of June at 1pm.
Congrats to Laoise McCahey who represented Tipp in the Primary Game match on Sunday in Semple Stadium.
Juvenile Club
On Saturday we participated in the Larry Looby tournament in The Ragg. We had 5 very competitive games and it was a great way to start our hurling season. Many thanks to Drom&Inch GAA and the Looby family for the invitation to such a well run event.
