Senior News

We welcomed Holycross/Ballycahill to Castleiney on Wednesday last for the Cahill Cup semi-final on a balmy evening. A lively first half encounter saw us lead by a point (1-11 to 1-10) at the half time break. The second half HC/BC scored 3 points without reply, but when Liam McGrath found the back of the net it changed the pace, and we played strongly to the end running out eventual winners (4-21 to 1-25). We now meet Thurles Sarsfields in the final on Friday 30th May at 7pm in Holycross grounds (note: a change to previously published).

Juvenile News

Hard luck to our U13s who were defeated in the football County semi-final by Killenaule on Monday evening 19th May. On Friday night we welcomed Moyne/Templetuohy and Clonakenny to an U7 blitz in Cuguilla. Thanks to everyone who helped out for making the evening very enjoyable for all. The last round of the U17B County hurling league is fixed for Templetuohy at 7.30pm on Monday 26th May where we meet Lattin/Aherlow.
