Tipperary Senior Hurling
Great to see Noel and Brian McGrath in action for Tipp on Saturday evening as they overcame a dogged Westmeath outfit in the Stadium. With the panel being announced this week, plenty of players have been given a chance to prove themselves and it has been a good start to the League with our lads giving it everything. The evening was finished off in style with a tremendous benefit night at the Greyhound track with a great atmosphere and a decent sum of money raised by the Supporters club. Pictured are Noel McGrath and Liam Cahill with Michael Bourke presenting the winning prize to Michael, Johnny and Murt Ryan after their dog Star Dollar dead heated in race 6.

Ronan Stapleton Tournament
On Saturday next we host the Ronan Stapleton u13 hurling tournament with matches starting at 11am.
Schools Hurling.
The u17 Fitzgerald Cup hurling final will be played this coming week with old rivals Thurles CBS and Our Lady’s Templemore in opposition. Best of luck to Richard Morris , Cathal Ryan and Daniel McCahey the Loughmore Castleiney reps on the teams.

Huge congratulations to Stacy Meade from Castleiney who was on the Our Lady’s team which won the All Ireland Camogie final on Saturday with a fine win over New Ross.

The U15 football team had a good workout on Sunday morning as they entertained a team from Borrisokane. Training and gym work continues at pace for these lads along with the u17’s.
