25 Nov 2025Liam MacCarthy Cup Visit
We are delighted to announce that on Sunday, 30th November, the Liam MacCarthy Cup will visit our Club House, accompanied by our All-Ireland winning club members. We are also honoured that John McGrath and Mairead Eviston will bring their All-Star awards for the occasion.
All members of the community are warmly invited to join us for this special celebration at 11:30am on Sunday.
Munster Senior Hurling Semi-final
On Sunday, 14th November, our Munster hurling campaign came to an end in Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare. The day was full of drama, with a last-minute venue change, a delayed throw-in, and a game that ultimately required extra time. The match itself was a tightly contested battle played in heavy underfoot conditions. The sides were level on thirteen occasions, and we held the lead eleven times, before an Éire Óg free brought the game to extra time.
In the additional twenty minutes, the opposition found another gear and closed out the contest, bringing our provincial journey to a close.
Despite the disappointment, it has been a remarkable season, winning back-to-back County titles is an achievement any club would be proud of, and we certainly are.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed to the Training Fund, to the supporters who followed us so loyally throughout the year, to our club sponsor Ormond Orthodontics for their continued commitment, and above all to our players and management team for their dedication, work rate and pride in the jersey from start to finish.
U21B hurling
On Friday night our U21B hurlers lost to Drom/Inch.
Fixture: Next Friday evening, 28th November we will play Moyne/Templetuohy in football in Templetuohy at 7.30pm.
Minor A Football Final
Unfortunately, our amalgamated Minor Football team fell to JK Brackens on Monday, 15th November, bringing their season to a close. Despite the result, the players can be incredibly proud of their year. They embraced the joint-team arrangement with maturity and positivity, reflected in their excellent commitment and attendance throughout the season.
Sincere thanks to the management groups from both clubs for fostering such a supportive and encouraging environment, ensuring the players enjoyed a rewarding and united campaign.
Annual General Meeting
Our AGM will take place on Sunday 7th December at 6pm in Clubhouse. Please contact Club Secretary (086 831 5922) for nomination forms for the following positions: Chairperson; Vice-Chairperson; Secretary; Treasurer; Juvenile Secretary; Communications Officer; Registrar. Completed nomination forms to be submitted to the Secretary no later than 8pm Friday 28th November.
Lotto Results
There was no jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were: 07, 08, 23, 30. Lucky Dip Winners (€40 each): Elaine Hicks; Marie Quinn; Michael Connolly; Michael Lonergan. Promoter’s draw: Pat Healy. Next week’s jackpot is €11,000.
