Senior Hurling and Football

Well done to our Senior Footballers who got back to winning ways on Saturday evening beating Grangemockler Ballyneale 1-18 to 0-8. This now leaves us with one win from two in senior football ahead of the final round against Upperchurch Drombane – a win in that game will secure qualification to the knockout stages. This Sunday, our hurlers will play Clonoulty Rossmore in a “do or die” final round of the senior hurling championship. Best of luck to all involved in this game on Sunday at 3:30pm in Holycross.

Premier Junior Football and Junior Hurling

Our Premier Junior Footballers had a busy week this week, taking on Sean Treacy’s in R1 on Tuesday night. Goals from Anthony Ryan and Joey Hennessy kept us in touch the whole way through the game and we secured a victory with a last minute point from Eoghan Ryan to run out winners on a score line of 2-12 to 1-14. Round 2 took place on Sunday against Carrick Swans, but unfortunately we came up against a stronger Carrick side, who won the game 4-10 to 1-5, with the goal coming from Mikey Ryan in the first half.

Tony Forristial

Congratulations to Ollie Morris, Killian Cleary and John Sheehan who represented Loughmore Castleiney on the Tipperary U14s in the Tony Forristial hurling tournament in SETU, Waterford over the weekend.

Juveniles

We entered an U11s  hurling blitz on Wednesday in Semple Stadium, playing the Silvermines, Knockaderry from Limerick and St. Mary’s from Waterford. It was a brilliant afternoon of hurling.

Our U6s hosted a fantastic hurling blitz on Saturday morning with Moyne Templetuohy, Durlas Óg and Holycross Ballycahill. It was a brilliant morning of hurling, with everyone having great fun, playing some great hurling and showing plenty of enthusiasm. Well done to all the young players, and thanks to Dave Moore, John Scully and everyone who helped out.
