Club Notes 17/12/23

At our AGM Marty Ryan stepped down as Club PRO. Marty has provided us with many images of our successes over the years through his great camera work and he has been a very diligent PRO delivering the weekly notes without fail. These notes are so important for those who may be away from the parish but want to keep in touch with what’s happening in the club and I hope that I can continue to provide the same service during my tenure.
Eugene Stapleton remains on as Vice Chairman. Eugene was instrumental in kick starting the work that has led to the facility’s that we enjoy today in Cuguilla and is the envy of many small rural clubs. Eamon Connolly and Richy Maher also continue at the top table where their experience and commitment has been a huge asset to our development.

On Monday night 18th our Senior Football team take on Upperchurch in Templemore at 8pm with Joe Leahy on the whistle. It’s been a very long season for all these lads and their efforts on behalf of the club are to be admired and we can show our appreciation by getting into the Park tomorrow night to shout them on.

JP McManus
JP McManus might be the main man behind the Limerick hurling success of late but there can be no doubt about his loyalty to all things Gaelic and like every club in the country we will be receiving a share of the 1 million euros that JP and his family have kindly donated to every County Board in the country. It’s a nice Christmas present and we say thank you JP.
