U21B Mid Football Final

The U21B Mid Football Final took place in Boherlahan on Sunday last, where we faced Moycarkey Borris in very difficult conditions, with strong wind and driving rain making play challenging throughout. A disappointing first-half performance saw us trail by 4-03 to 0-03 at the interval. However, a spirited and much-improved display after the break saw a marked increase in work rate and intensity, with our defence holding the opposition scoreless in the second half. Despite a strong late surge, we fell just one point short of forcing extra time as the final whistle sounded. Final score: Moycarkey Borris 4-03, Loughmore-Castleiney 1-11.

Adjourned Convention

Our adjourned convention took place on Friday 12^th December with the following officers being elected: Chairperson, Joe Ryan; Vice Chair, Eugene Stapleton; Secretary, Yvonne Doyle; Treasurer, Eamon Connolly; Communications Officer, Diarmuid Meagher; Registrar, John O’Connell; Juvenile Sec, Michael Coote; Coaching Officer, John Scully; Children Officer, Sadie O’Connell; LGFA Sec, Maria Eviston.

There was no jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were: 02, 08, 24, 28. Lucky Dip Winners (€40 each): Mick Loughnane; John Meagher; Mick Caudy; Joe Danagher. Next week’s jackpot is €11,450.
