Club Notes 12th March 2023
12 Mar 2023Club Planning and Development Workshop
On Friday the 10th of March Loughmore Castleiney GAA hosted a Club Planning and Development Workshop in Loughmore Parish Hall. We had an amazing turnout on the night with a good mix of all age groups represented. The night produced many great ideas which will inform our new 5 year strategic plan. Thanks to Mark McLoughlin from Tipp county board for facilitating the evening. Thanks also to everyone who helped out on the night by supplying and serving refreshments and to Conor Stapleton for having the Hall ready for us.

Intercounty Action
The Tipperary senior hurlers had a magnificent win on Saturday night in Semple Stadium against Waterford in a scoreline of 4-23 to 0-25 points. Tipp continued their unbeaten league campaign and confirmed their place in the League Semi Finals. We finish top of Division 1A regardless of results in the final round with Limerick our likely opponents in the knock out stage. Noel captain the side and contributed a point from play while John came off the bench and offloaded a great pass to Conor Bowe who scored Tipp’s third goal.
Next up for the Tipp senior hurlers is a trip to Corrgian Park, Belfast in Antrim in the final group game of the League.
Ciaran McCormack has been named as part of Brendan Cummins’ under 20 hurling panel for the 2023 season. The lads have their first game in Clare against Clare on March 22nd. Congrats and best of luck Rucker!

The Tipp senior footballers will take on Offaly next Saturday evening in Semple Stadium at 6pm in a must win game in their hopes to avoid relegation to Division 4. Best of luck to Willie, Tommy, and Liam.
The Tipperary senior Camogie team will take on Clare in The Ragg next Saturday afternoon as they continue their hunt for a League Final spot. Best of luck to Aoife, Eimear, Mairead, and Niamh.
Post Primary Football
Congrats to the Our Lady’s under 16.5 team which beat Bandon on Tuesday last to qualify for the Munster semi finals. They play Listowel on Tuesday next and we wish Mikey Ryan, Joey Quinn and Richie Morris the best of luck.

Brian Gleeson
Well done to our own Brian Gleeson on another fine performance with the Ireland U20 rugby team on Friday night when they had a huge win over Scotland 82-7. They are now on course to win the Grand Slam which would be only the fourth time that Ireland has achieved this since the U20 tournament started in 2006. Fingers crossed for Brian and the team.
