CLUB NOTES 07/07/24

Well done to our Senior hurlers who booked their place in the Mid Final today with a hard fought victory over Drom – Inch in Templemore. Behind from the start we went 4 points down with only a few minutes to play but scored the last 5 points without reply to win on a score line of 1-18 to 0-20. Next up is the Mid Final next Sunday vs Moycarkey Borris in Templetuohy at 2 pm.

Our Junior team played Thurles Sarsfields at 6.30 this evening and although we competed well in the first half, we eventually lost out 3-18 to 2-13.

The minor football team travelled to Carrick on Suir on Sunday morning to play the Davins in round 5 of the County league but found the home side a tough nut to crack. Final score here was 8-13 to 3-04.

Over 50 young boys and girls had a fantastic week in Cuguilla from Monday to Friday with the highlight being the visit on Friday of Ben Currivan and Darragh McCarthy who brought with them the Harty Cup, Munster Minor and u20 cups and Minor All Ireland cup. All the children had their photos taken and really enjoyed their week with brilliant coaches who made it a fun experience for all.
