County Intermediate Football

On Saturday last, Loughmore-Castleiney faced Mullinahone GAA in Gortnahoe in the Intermediate Football relegation playoff. With a draw or win required to secure our place in the grade for next season, and the opposition needing victory by over 15 points to stay up, there was plenty at stake. A solid first-half performance, aided by the wind, saw us edge into the break with a narrow one-point lead. However, Mullinahone found their rhythm after the restart, taking control in the second half and capitalising on key scoring opportunities. Despite our best efforts, they finished the stronger side, running out four-point winners. Full-time: 1-14 to 4-09

Juvenile News

Our U9s rounded off their season in style with a special visit from the Dan Breen Cup. A huge thank you to Captain Liam McGrath, Ciaran McCormack, and Tómas McGrath for taking the time to join the group for their final training session. Congratulations to all our young players for their commitment, enthusiasm, and fantastic progress throughout the year!

The U13’s took part in the Michael Hogan Festival of Football in Dr. Morris Park on Sunday. After impressive wins over Toomevara and Thurles Gaels in the group stage, we lost to Ardfinnan. Finishing in the top two meant a rematch against Ardfinnan in the final – this time, our lads turned the tables with a strong performance to take the win and finish top of the group. Well done to all involved!
