CLUB NOTES 02/06/24

A very quiet week on the playing fields this week as we look forward to the start of the Mid Championships. Training continues for all teams, young and old as Cuguilla is a hive of activity at the moment. On Wednesday next the annual Eddie Connolly Memorial tournament will take place with the local National schools competing to take home this much coveted trophy.

Golf Classic

We have had a really great response to the Golf Classic so far but there plenty of tee times still available. We are also encouraging all our members and anyone associated with the club who don’t play golf to  consider sponsoring a tee box. To arrange either of the above please contact John on 0862754270 or Richy on 0863146148.

Wedding Bells

After Podge Hennessy and Aideen Russell tied the knot last week, another officer went on bended knee this week as Richy Maher popped the question to Eimear Irwin. Congratulations to you both.

Exams

As the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams begin we would like to wish all our members the very best of luck in the coming weeks. While the exams are really important, they will not define you. You’ve all done the hard work, now you just need to get it down on the exam paper and give it your best shot. Good luck to you all.
