Senior Football
On Sunday in Dundrum our Senior team finished off the round robin with a hard fought victory over Arravale Rovers. A sluggish start saw us 4 pts to no score down before Liam McGrath opened our account from a free. A further point from Dara McCahey in the 23rd minute was our only other score until Tommy Maher goaled in the 32nd minute. This left us only two points behind as Orrin Jones had blasted to our net after 17 minutes. The half time chat seemed to work as our approach in the second period was much more direct and our attacks led to scores from play and frees whilst we kept Arravale to just 2 points. We controlled much of the second half but could thank Shane Hennessy for a fine save mid way through it as he spread himself to turn out a fine shot which had goal written all over it. Final score was 1-08 to 1-06 and we now await the draw to see who we will meet in the quarter finals.
On Friday evening our Junior football team faced Fr Sheehy’s in New Inn and this was a fine entertaining game with some excellent scores from both sides as well as some excellent saves from Richy Maher in goals. A converted penalty from Michael McGrath in the first half and a goal from play by Paul McCahey were big scores at vital times and saw us finish level at 2-11 to 1-14. This draw puts us in the hat for the next round and great to see a really positive type of football being played by the boys.

Our Under 9s and Silvermines Gaa travelled to Moneygall on Friday evening for a mini hurling blitz.
Well done to all the children who took part. They played brilliantly on the night, showcasing all their skills.
Thanks to Moneygall Gaa for hosting a great blitz.

Big thanks to Maria Connolly who brought the Munster and All Ireland trophies to juvenile training on Saturday morning. The kids were thrilled to get their pictures taken with the cups
U19 hurling
We played Drom- Inch on Wednesday evening in Templetuohy in the Mid semi final and with a very small panel we gave a good account of ourselves. Drom started very strongly and led 2-11 to 0-07 at half time but to their credit the boys really stuck to the task and the second half was much more competitive. The final score was 3-21 to 0-16.
