2001 Jubilee Team
On Sunday in Croke Park, on All Ireland Hurling final day, Tipperary were honoured as the 2001 All Ireland winning hurling team on the 25th anniversary of their win. It was very proud day for Loughmore Castleiney as we see our three representatives from the club honoured – Paul Ormond, David Kennedy and Noel Morris. The three lads brought great pride to the parish and county on that day in 2001, defeating Galway on a scoreline of 2-18 to 2-15. Sunday was another one of those days, and we wish the three lads the best as they are deservedly honoured for their amazing achievements.
