Our U21 hurling team was the main focus this week as they played Moyne Templetuohy on Monday and in a fine performance they won on a score line of 4-22 to 1-14. 

With Boherlahan having already beaten Moyne Templetuohy, the decision was made to forego the round robin match and play the Mid Final vs Boherlahan and this took place on Sunday in Holycross. This was a real battle with the superior physicality of the Boherlahan boys proving to be a real problem. The exchanges were well contested but our poor return from frees left us behind at half time 0-10 to 0-04. 

The second half started in a really lively fashion with a flurry of early scores from both sides. When Richie Morris netted in the 11th minute we were just a point behind but that goal seemed to be the catalyst for a Boherlahan revival as they scored the next 5 points without reply. Ciaran McCormack struck 4 points in a row from frees before Boherlahan closed it out with the last 3 points.  

It was a disappointing end but the game was played with great intensity and the boys can be proud of their efforts.
