Club notes, 19th October
20 Oct 2025County Football Semi-final
Our senior football campaign came to a close on Saturday last against a determined Kilsheelan-Kilcash side. The opposition struck early with a goal inside the opening three minutes, setting the tone for a lively contest. Loughmore responded well with two quick points, and by the seventeenth minute the sides were level.
Full-back Willie Eviston found himself in an advanced position midway through the half, combining neatly with Liam McGrath and Liam Treacy before handpassing into the net. Eviston was again involved in the build-up to a second goal, finished by Tómas McGrath just before the break, sending us in at half-time with a 1-07 to 1-04 advantage.
We maintained our lead throughout the second half, holding a slender one-point advantage as normal time expired. However, in the four minutes of added time, Kilsheelan-Kilcash landed a crucial two-pointer followed by another score to edge the victory.
Full-time: Loughmore-Castleiney 2-09, Kilsheelan-Kilcash 1-14.
We extend our best wishes to Kilsheelan-Kilcash in the County Final.
